Boy Shower Invitation

It's about time I shared something I did for my own shower!  I did make my very own invitations and they were WAY more time consuming than I thought they would be, but very much worth it! :)

Here is my messy process:

You can see the final version in the top left corner of this last picture above :)  Pretty cute!  Below you can see some close up details too! :)

I'm not sure why this last pic won't rotate for me, but you get the circus theme all the same :)

Baby Girl Shower Favors

More baby stuff...I know!  I know!  It will be over soon! ;)

My Sis in Law needed some party favors and I obliged!  How could I not?!  She showed me a post on Pinterest that had the phrase, but the tag needed something more....so here is my version:

A sweet little flower with "Sweet Pea" hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works!  So simple, but so cute!

Diaper Cake!

It's no secret that babies are popping out everywhere in my life over here!  So many babies!!  The excitement is just getting overwhelming! :)

This is not an actual scrapbook post, but still a crafty one ;)  I made my very first ever Diaper Cake for my Sis in Law!  It's very classic and not over the top, but I love it just the same!

Here is what I used to figure things out for her diaper cake theme:
Invitation
Diapers
Ribbon
Wooden Dowel
& an Old Perfume Bottle (that I have NEVER used!)

Based off her adorable princess theme room with cocoa and soft pink colors...here is the end result:

The bear I threw in at the last minute.  It's not on her registry, but it is part of her bedding and is oh so soft!  What little girl doesn't want a lovey?!  I'll admit that my diapers are NOT all white, however it was on her registry and I'm all about purchasing items that she wants and won't go to waste! :)

What do you think?

Baby Wish Cards

I'm still working on baby stuff over here and probably will be for awhile :)  My SIL (sister in law) saw something on Pinterest that she wanted to know if I could re-create.  They were Baby Wish Cards, which are little decorated cards that the baby shower guests write a special little message to the baby on the way.

Here is the original that she found:
Baby Shower Wish Cards - Princess Castle - Girl - Set of 12

Very cute! If you would like to purchase directly from this seller here is where you can find her shop on Etsy: EngLavendarStudios

This is my version:

and my other version:

I actually like the little girl the best.  I like the bling in her hair & my castle is not so little girl "princessy".  Maybe I should go look for a new castle stamp?  Plus the girl card is slightly smaller, so it would be easier to fit more cards on one scrapbook page.  But it's not up to me!  I think my SIL will choose the castle, but who knows :)

Babycakes!

I am very excited about the cards I made this weekend!  For multiple reason's too!
1) I have a baby on the way!
2) My Sister in Law has a baby girl on the way!
3) My dear friend has a baby on the way!
4) I LOVE the paper name "Babycakes" and the whole design of the paper pack!
5) I just think the cards are adorable!

In our latest CTMH catalog they have a paper set called Babycakes and it so neutral, and yet can be personalized for a gender very easily.  My dear friend Mary Thompson came up with a set of 12 cards and they are all BEAUTIFUL.  However, I didn't really need 12 baby themed cards lying around, so I copied 6!  I think that should keep me going for awhile with different baby showers for my SIL and friends :)

Take a look:

The first bunch of cards used a stamp from an older CTMH stamp set called "New Arrival" that can still be purchased here on my website.  The last 3 cards used some coordinating adhesive canvas sheets called "Babycakes Complements" and can also be found on my website.

Here are some additional idea's to do with our Babycake's paper pack:

Aren't these all great!?  I'll be trying some layouts with Babycakes soon!

Back to School Muslin Bags

My kids start back to school a little later than the other kids in our neighborhood.  They attend a private school, so they start later & get out later, but their summer is still the same length as all the other kids :)
This year my youngest is joining her big sister at school.  She is starting "Jr. K" and thankfully our school starts that young!  She has been so anxious to join her sister.

So I decided to send the girls to school with a special treat for their teachers.  Here is what I came up with:

They both were very excited about these!  Thank goodness too, because they took me longer than I expected :)  I ended up with 2 for my youngest and 6 for my oldest since she has different teachers for different subjects.

Here is what you can find in each one:

Not too shabby for a decorative baggie for some hand sanitizer :)

I used our CTMH School is Here stamp set.  It was perfect for this project!

You can find it here for only $9.95.  I'm so glad I used it this year's project :)

Here are some close up's of the bags:

Planning for Disney!

Yup!  It's all in the title!  We are planning our trip to Disneyland and I couldn't be more excited for it!  This has been on the books for a year now, but we are finally booking hotel dates and getting everything finalized.  Which means....more Disney layouts!

I attended the annual Faux Convention this year and it happened to be Disney themed!  Sign me up!  I attended this one because A) I couldn't make it out to Florida & Disney World for the actual convention put on by Close To My Heart (although I tried my hardest to make it work, I couldn't) and B) It was a day of scrapping with a Disney theme & great company!  Whoohoo!

The Faux Convention had this amazing layout for us to do & I fell head over heals when I saw the little girl had brown hair!  Both my girls have gorgeous brown hair, so it will work well for our pictures :)

This next layout was a pre-cut design I got from a local scrapbook store that closed its doors.  I wish they would put more info in their packs because I have no idea on who to thank for this amazing layout.

This one is themed off the Disney California Adventure park and their ride Soarin' Over California.  If you haven't rode Soarin' before, I suggest you try it at least once!  It's a flight simulator with amazing California views and just like Disney does they go the extra mile with corresponding scents to what you see on the large screen.  While I swear my heart stops for just about anything (probably even during Peter Pan's Flight!), I still really enjoy Soarin'.

If you notice I like to pop some of the features on my layouts to make them more 3 dimensional.  It just adds a little something (in my opinion).  Now, unfortunately this layout has a little girl with blond hair...maybe I'll cut my own paper hair, or just color it brown.  Yes, sometimes I am THAT anal.  Fun Fact: I do have a bit of OCD in my personality!

4th of July Layouts

In sticking with my Tommy theme, I'm sharing my 4th of July layouts that use the same paper pack as my fabulous card/decor that I shared the other day.

I really enjoyed how simple it was to add some great features with the Tommy Complements Canvas Shapes.

Here is another layout:

Now to get my pictures on these! :)

4th of July fun on the 24th of July!

Yes - today is technically the 24th of July, but that doesn't mean that I still can't have fun with my 4th of July decor :) Did any of you make anything special?

I was originally not a huge fan of our Tommy papers, but after one simple project I was hooked!  I attended an event where there was a card project that I fell in love with!

Here it is:
So cute!

Here it is folded down to be put into an envelope:

Or if you were like me...I kept if for myself, left it popped up and had it in our house next to my 4th of July print to add some more 4th of July decor to our house :)

Creative Backgrounds!

In the latest YouTube CTMH video they show how to make creative backgrounds with some of our background stamps.  I have tried this myself once and am apparently too much of a perfectionist & threw out my work.  Maybe it's time I try it again?

What do you think?  It seems easy enough :)

Also...I picked up some items from my online website for 50% off!  Things that I have wanted for awhile, but just never got around to purchasing them.  Take a look to see if there is anything you can't live without either!

Here is what I got:
