Planning for Disney!

Yup!  It's all in the title!  We are planning our trip to Disneyland and I couldn't be more excited for it!  This has been on the books for a year now, but we are finally booking hotel dates and getting everything finalized.  Which means....more Disney layouts!

I attended the annual Faux Convention this year and it happened to be Disney themed!  Sign me up!  I attended this one because A) I couldn't make it out to Florida & Disney World for the actual convention put on by Close To My Heart (although I tried my hardest to make it work, I couldn't) and B) It was a day of scrapping with a Disney theme & great company!  Whoohoo!

The Faux Convention had this amazing layout for us to do & I fell head over heals when I saw the little girl had brown hair!  Both my girls have gorgeous brown hair, so it will work well for our pictures :)

This next layout was a pre-cut design I got from a local scrapbook store that closed its doors.  I wish they would put more info in their packs because I have no idea on who to thank for this amazing layout.

This one is themed off the Disney California Adventure park and their ride Soarin' Over California.  If you haven't rode Soarin' before, I suggest you try it at least once!  It's a flight simulator with amazing California views and just like Disney does they go the extra mile with corresponding scents to what you see on the large screen.  While I swear my heart stops for just about anything (probably even during Peter Pan's Flight!), I still really enjoy Soarin'.

If you notice I like to pop some of the features on my layouts to make them more 3 dimensional.  It just adds a little something (in my opinion).  Now, unfortunately this layout has a little girl with blond hair...maybe I'll cut my own paper hair, or just color it brown.  Yes, sometimes I am THAT anal.  Fun Fact: I do have a bit of OCD in my personality!

4th of July Layouts

In sticking with my Tommy theme, I'm sharing my 4th of July layouts that use the same paper pack as my fabulous card/decor that I shared the other day.

I really enjoyed how simple it was to add some great features with the Tommy Complements Canvas Shapes.

Here is another layout:

Now to get my pictures on these! :)

4th of July fun on the 24th of July!

Yes - today is technically the 24th of July, but that doesn't mean that I still can't have fun with my 4th of July decor :) Did any of you make anything special?

I was originally not a huge fan of our Tommy papers, but after one simple project I was hooked!  I attended an event where there was a card project that I fell in love with!

Here it is:
So cute!

Here it is folded down to be put into an envelope:

Or if you were like me...I kept if for myself, left it popped up and had it in our house next to my 4th of July print to add some more 4th of July decor to our house :)

Creative Backgrounds!

In the latest YouTube CTMH video they show how to make creative backgrounds with some of our background stamps.  I have tried this myself once and am apparently too much of a perfectionist & threw out my work.  Maybe it's time I try it again?

What do you think?  It seems easy enough :)

Also...I picked up some items from my online website for 50% off!  Things that I have wanted for awhile, but just never got around to purchasing them.  Take a look to see if there is anything you can't live without either!

Here is what I got:
